Haynes was born in Pell City, Alabama. However, he suffered from HCM (Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) in childhood, a disease that affects the heart muscle, causing the muscle to enlarge which can reduce or block the blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta.
In addition, he had to undergo open-heart surgery to save his life at the age of 17. Moreover, he is also the worship leader at Seddon Baptist Church. He has a pet dog whereas his hobbies are playing piano and traveling.
He uploads his cover music videos of renowned vocalists like Ed Sheeran, John Mayor, Tauren Wells, and George Strait on his YouTube Channel.

During the blind auditions of The Voice Season 21, Haynes performed Brett Young’s “Mercy”. However, according to him, his wish was to come and watch The Voice referring to Make-A-Wish Foundation’s mission to grant the desires of critically ill children.
