Jones is the daughter of Quincy (father, composer/musician record, and film producer) and Peggy Lipton (mother – former model). Also, the actress together with her younger sister, Rashida, were born in Los Angeles and raised in Bel-Air. Her sister is a screenwriter and actress. Additionally, her father is African, and her mother is Jewish. Moreover, she is Robert Lipton’s niece and in addition has a half-brother, Quincy Delight Jones III (author, film and music producer), and half-sisters Kenya Kinski, Martina, and Jolie.

An ad campaign launched by Hilfiger focused on Kidada and some of her friends including Kate Hudson, Aaliyah, Tamia, and Oliver Hudson. In addition, for eight years Kidada worked as a muse for the fashion designer.
Career
Moreover, Jones was a celebrity stylist for the ‘Vibe’ Magazine (founded by her father in September 1993) due to her initial endeavors in fashion designing. Additionally, in 1995, she dressed Michael Jackson in hip hop clothing for the cover of “Vibe” which garnered her attention.
In addition, for three years, she designed a clothing line for famous American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, TV personality, and actor Snoop Dogg. Moreover, she also modeled for fashion magazines including; ‘Vogue’, ‘Elle’ and ‘Harper’s Bazaar’. However, she has also featured in several advertisements and commercials.
Moreover, she made her debut in acting with science fiction teen horror film, “The Faculty”. The character of Venus in the film was portrayed by Kidada.
