Heidi Werosta Career
In August of 2018, Werosta began working for the WBOC Team as a Storm Tracker Weather. Since she was a child, she has aspired to be a meteorologist. Heidi’s primary ambition was to work as a broadcaster, and she is now living her dream. Also, she moved to Bismarck, North Dakota, right after graduation to work for KX News and pursue her passion for meteorology. On the other hand, she predicted temperatures of 45 degrees below zero in the winter and over 100 degrees above zero in the summer while she was there (in the summer).
There is a vast range of weather in North Dakota, especially in terms of temperature. Those two years in the Midwest were a challenge for Werosta, from blizzards to tornadoes. However, she was astounded to witness a thunderstorm form 50 miles distant. Her need for the weather grew even stronger as a result of this event. Heidi then moved to Delmarva, where she landed a job as the station’s newest meteorologist at WBOC.
Her benefit was that the new job was significantly closer to her home. She believed WBOC was the perfect match since she longed those summer days at the beach in New Jersey. Werosta is a regular contributor to the “American Meteorological Society.” Her main ambition is to obtain her AMS certification.

Werosta earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Rutgers University. She also studied geography as a minor. Heidi was a member of Weather-Watchers and gave weekly forecasts that were broadcast throughout the University while she was still a student.
