Laura Whitemore is an Irish presenter for MTV based in London. She is also a model as well as an actress and a reality shows presenter, though she started as a video jockey for MTV. She presented Love Island and its spinoff series Love Island: Aftersun in January 2020. Later on, Celebrity Juice replaced Mel B as a team captain in September 2020.c

Whitemore competed against other contestants to become the face of MTV News in MTV Europe in April 2008 where MTV Networks Europe had launched a campaign Pick Me MTV. She was news bulletin host for MTV in Ireland, UK, and Pan-European MTV channels between 2008 and 2015. Also, she hosted special events in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe on MTV News.
She hosted Get me out of here!NOW! on ITV2 which was airing immediately after I’m a Celebrity for five series from 2011. In April 2016 she announced that she was leaving the show.
After the 2012 Summer Olympics Torch, she appeared on the RTE television talk show “Saturday Night with Miriam.”
In September 2012, she hosted a pilot episode of songwriting-based talent shoe The Hit on RTE Two. RTE announced that the show had been ordered for a full series on 15th March 2013. Therefore, she could not host the show because it was a conflicting schedule in London. So Nicky Byrne and Aidan Power presented the full series.
She co-hosted the 11th Irish Film and Television Awards with Simon Delaney in April 2014.
Alongside Scott Mills on BBC Three, she was a commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 semi-finals in Copenhagen, Denmark after joining the BBC Eurovision team. In addition, she replaced Ana Matronic. Furthermore, she occasionally presented “the Hub” section on ITV’S This Morning.
To raise awareness of testicular cancer, she appeared in Channel 4’s The Feeling Nuts Comedy Night cancer on 24th October 2014.
She worked for MTV News for seven years and left the channel in February 2015 though she continued to present irregular segments and specials. On 26th February 2015, she recorded her last bulletin with the station.

She took part in the fourteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing On 10th August 2016 and the beginning of September 2016. She was the sixth contestant to be voted out on 5th November 2016 where she had been partnered with Italian dancer Giovanni Pernice.
Alongside comedian Brennan Reece, she presented Survival of the Fittest reality series for ITV2.
Additionally, she hosted the sixth series of ITV2’s Love Island in 2020 after Caroline Flack’s exit. Later in June 2021, she returned for the seventh series.
