Wright was born in Galveston, Texas to Rev. Douglas (father) and Rosalind (mother). Additionally, Noivas grew up in Jasper, Texas, and started his musical ambitions early. Furthermore, with Wright’s parents’ support in 2013, he and his band The Standard entered a music contest in hopes of winning $10,000. Moreover, the singer is the youngest of five siblings. In addition, his siblings include his elder brother Douglas Wright III, elder sister Annilia Wright Mosley, and sister Kassilia J. Wright. Unfortunately, Noivas had an elder brother named Alfred who passed away in 2013.

Wright started taking bass guitar lessons from his oldest brother at the early age of 6. Moreover, Noivas’s musical talents further developed when he began singing solos in his father’s church back in his hometown of Jasper at the age of 12. However, he gave up singing for some time due to his passion for instrumentation. This was until at the age of 14 he sang Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come” for his father which was an experience that reignited his love of vocalization.

According to Noivas’ official bio, he has been an educator in addition to being a working singer. Furthermore, he has taught in Texas public schools and was a professor at a Texas junior college.

Furthermore, the singer competed twice on FOX’s American Idol and made it to the Top 48 in 2014 and the Top 24 in 2015. Moreover, Noivas released an EP titled “Breathing Underwater” in 2015 honoring his brother Alfred Wright, his brother. The EP peaked at #40 on iTunes’ Top 100 chart. Furthermore, following his final Idol elimination, the singer undertook a tour of the US, performing over 180 shows from California to Florida and as far as upstate New York.

Noivas wanted to have some time off due to weariness and fatigue in 2017 after wrapping up a brief tour. Thus,  Wright decided to follow in his parent’s footsteps and become an educator. Therefore, Noivas secured positions at Texas public schools and junior colleges in the same state.
